I have been developing this since summer. The ancestor has already appeared here, since then a lot has happened, here are the results:

grindr provides tools to enhance productivity and interact with websites, rss feeds and instant messaging.

• munchr is a simple RSS parser which can collect data from restricted websites, this data is routed to nbox.
• nbox is a small GUI display for all collected information.
• Additionally included are support scripts for mcabber and pidgin/purple so that incoming IM messages are also shown in nbox.
• Posting information is done by feedr, it takes a set of parameters and values and submits it to the appropriate webservice.
• gaskr provides a GUI to prepare data ready for feedr.
• Preparation of initial configuration for gaskr is done by bildr, it can log onto sites and scrape all form data from html content.

Together this provides the basis for desktop integration of web based services.
